You should try a stereo mini-plug 'Y', RCA ends with red and black usually. From these you can get RCA extension cables. Unless the speakers are self powered, will have a team sound small power amp. They have the same connector female connection on the 'Y, and connect the speakers to the amplifier. Or, you can cut the RCA jacks, strip cables are connected directly to the speakers if you drive to feed. All these elements can be found at your local radio shack. Banana plugs are an option, but properly wiring can be a hassle. Limit to peak 100-watt amplifier.
