A voltage of 2V preamp work of the Conference with a receiver and Solobaric Kicker L7? What kind of amplifier I need?
I have a Alpine CDA-9884 CD head unit with 2 volts Preamp Voltage and IM wondering if this works well with some Kicker Solo-Baric L7 12 "subs? What kind of amplifier I need? This is something difficult to explain. The preamp voltage does not really come into play until it reaches the amplifier. With 2 volts should not have a problem with almost any amplifier. Most are made to accept .1-5 volts. Here is where to get a bit more complicated. So that for the amplifier to work efficiently it is the RMS power rating, you must match the input sensitivity of the voltage amplifier with preamplifier. To do this, properly adjust the gain. Therefore, if you look for an amplifier that meets the RMS power, submarines, it does not really have a problem. Sorry, I'm giving condensed version. It's a little late and have to hit the sack.
