The simple things that everyone can do to fight emission and save the planet is to buy laptop. The reasons for that is Laptop uses less energy than Desktop. Laptop are also Earth friendly because technology have made new development to save the planet. Don’t buy a 17 inch laptop unless you really need it because the bigger the screen the more energy it uses.

In the next 10 years from now, I see Disk Hard Drive will be no longer uses because Flash Hard Drive will replace it. These are the following developments the will make Laptop more Earth friendly.

Flash Hard Drive

Flash Hard Drive uses less energy because there’s no moving part inside. The drive are faster also because there’s no fiction. Solid States Disk (SSD) is the new thing that going to replace the slow disk spinning hard drive that we have today.

LED backlight

LED backlight probably would be the next big things to save Earth. LED backlight can save as much as 26 percent of energy compare to CCFL (cold cathode fluorescent tube) backlight.

Intel Duo Core 2

The third big thing is that Intel in getting more Earth friendly than ever. The new processor is built using 45 nm technology. The chip have two mini CPU inside to make multi-applications run faster (no more hour glass thank goodness). The processor only uses 35 watts of energy for laptop and 65 watts for desktop. I bought Intel and made some money from it but not very much because it can’t grow anymore.
