Selling Your Stocks
Posted on February 21st, 2008 by Will Work for Cheesecake!!!I never like selling stocks but in time I do sell. What’s the reasons for me selling my stocks? I usually keep the stocks I owned a year or longer. There are many situations that you want to sell the stocks you owned. Would my reasons fit into your situations? The answer would be not always.

These are my following reasons I sell my stocks:
- I didn’t have 7 months to a year of saving, so I had to sell my stocks to pay for expenses (When I save up to 7 months of saving I’ll write a article to celebrate).
- When there is a bull market that is out of control, because investors are getting very greedy by pushing the level too high.
- I sell because I made a mistake. I realize that when a company is restructuring it can take up to 5 or 10 years to make any money. Sorry, my life is short I don’t have that much time to wait. I usually test a stock no longer than 5 years.
- The company is being bought, and the values of it share can’t be any higher. It OK to keep the share if you do your research on the company that buying it, and you form a script that it have a bright future.
- Greedy CEO is only thinking of himself. The perfect example would be CountryWide CEO.
- Growth stock that can no longer grow like Microsoft and Cisco.
- And last but not least, I listen to the dumb fool who fool me twice (Shame, on me). Listening to Wall Street on when to sell and buy is like you being a slave to Homer on the Simpson.
Summary
There are many reasons for you to sell your own stocks. Those are just my reasons that I sell my stocks. You might or might not agrees with me but those are the script I formed throughout my years of investing. Thank you so much for reading my article, I hope everyday bring you joy (beside without laughter and happiness, living are just loneliness and pain).
