Any suggestions on how to absorb the foot of my puppy in the Epsom salt?
Well, I have a puppy of 6 months of age who had an injury foot old, who had returned before adopting its me. She is a Newfoundland / Lab mix and is already quite large (45 pounds and her weight is approximately 23 inches high). I took her to the vet yesterday for his foot injury and the vet advised that she would have to soak your foot in Epsom salt once a day together to give an antibiotic for possible infection that could have got into the wound as healed. The only problem is that she is very hyper and want to jump while soaking the foot. She also tries to drink the salt water from Epson. It's a real pain. On the way back leg that has the old injury. I do what the vet recommended to avoid surgery on his foot. Could someone please give me suggestions. Only serious suggestions please.
Two people have already responded very well yet I think the combination of the two would be best. I would definitely take some towels or some sort of clean cloth and soak it in salt solution and place some kind of plastic wrap around it and secure, but not too strong. Watch your dog at this time to make sure not to chew on it. This way you can entertain your dog and could move a little ignore packaging, while being used. Do this for about 30 minutes a day would do great. I hope this help. There were some pretty good answers here.
